What do our interns have to say about their experience…
"I am truly honored to share my experience as a summer intern for Let Her Play, a nonprofit program dedicated to growing female athlete engagement and addressing the existing enrollment gap between male and female athletes. As a Division I women's ice hockey player at Princeton, I embarked on this internship with a passion for promoting gender equality in sports, and it has been an incredibly rewarding journey.
Working with Let Her Play allowed me to expand my horizons beyond the realm of athletics teams and delve into the world of nonprofit advocacy. Collaborating with a diverse and dedicated team, I not only gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by female athletes but also developed crucial skills in teamwork, communication, and project management.
One of the highlights of my internship was working with the team during our trip to Vail, Colorado, and being able to make lasting memories there. The positive impact our efforts had on bridging the enrollment gap was second to none. It was heartening to contribute to a cause that is so close to my heart, knowing that I was playing a part in leveling the playing field for female athletes. The experience was not only professionally enriching but also deeply fulfilling on a personal level.
Let Her Play has provided me with a platform to channel my passion for gender equality in sports into tangible action. This internship has equipped me with a broader perspective, a heightened sense of purpose, and a set of skills that extend far beyond the ice rink. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause and proud to have been part of the Let Her Play team. This experience has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on my journey as an athlete and an advocate for gender equality in sports."
